  • Make-up Picture Day – only if you missed the first one (rescheduled to 10/21)
  • CCS School Board Meeting  – Central Services – 5:00 for PAC members – 6:00 – Public Forum – 6:30 – School Board Meeting



  • Blue Shirt Day – to help stop Bullying
  • Volleyball Tryouts – 3:00-5:00 – Gym – You must see Coach Sippel – must have all forms – on website
  • PBIS Committee meeting – 3:15-4:15 – Room 128



  • Rachel’s Challenge Assembly – 8:15 – 10:00
  • Volleyball Tryouts – 3:00-5:00 – Gym – You must see Coach Sippel 
  • Friends of Rachel Leader Meeting – 1:30 for invited members
  • We will be operating on a 2-hour delay schedule due to Rachel’s Challenge, but school will start at regular time – report to Homeroom as usual, by 7:45
  • Yearbook Meeting – 3:00-4:00 – Any student who applied or didn’t apply, but is interested is invited to attend.  We will be discussing the theme and cover design for this year’s yearbook.
  • Starfish Study Hall – 3:00-4:00 – Room 25
  • Battle of the Books interest meeting – 3:00-4:00 – Media Center

  • Farewell and best wishes to our wonderful super awesome Assistant Principal, Mrs. Courtney Rose!  Friday will be her last day as a Minuteman.  We would like to thank her for her tireless efforts to make our school better.  We will miss you!
  • Thanks to all who supported our Fall Book Fair – it was a huge success!



  • Starfish team would like to announce the opening of Starfish Study Hall which includes internet access– every Tue. And Thurs. beginning this week.  Please have ride here by 4:00 in the bus parking lot.
  • Volleyball tryouts this week Tues and Wed.  3 - 5ish.  You must sign up with Sip before Tuesday.  Also, you must have a current physical, proof of insurance and concussion forms filled out and signed.  These forms can be found on the school web site
  • The Battle of the Books team will have two introductory meetings this week, on Tuesday and Thursday from 3 until 4.  All interested students should try to attend one of the meetings, or come by to see Mr. Peacock in person
  • There is a project going around the school for National Junior Honors Society and there are two girls that are trying to get students to bring in specific items to help the homeless. If the 6th grade students could bring in tooth brush tooth paste and mouth wash and turn them into Ms. Piner or Mrs. Hall. If 7th grade could bring in hand sanitizer, bar soap, chapstick, and band aids and turn them into Mrs. Heverly or Ms. Boulia. If 8th grade could bring in razors, deodorant, shaving cream, and tissues and turn them into Mr. D or Mr. Ball. All items must be travel size and are due October 15.
  • Any student who qualified for free or reduced lunch last year and did not send in a new form for this year will automatically be reverted back to full pay status on Monday, October 5.
