Business Education


6th- Keyboarding & WP

Students will understand and apply the touch method in operating the alpha keys, understand and apply the touch method in operating number and symbol keys, understand and apply the touch method in operating the keyboard while increasing speed and accuracy, and understand formatting skills in document processing.


Supplemental Curriculum includes Digital Literacy: Understanding computer basics, understanding the Internet and World Wide Web, understanding productivity programs, understanding computer security and privacy, and understanding digital lifestyles.


7th- Intro to Office Productivity

In this course students learn Advanced Word Processing skills, spreadsheet and presentation or multimedia software. Students will be able to understand and process advanced documents, understand the purpose and procedures for developing a multimedia presentation, understand methods of presentation delivery and distribution, understand the basics of spreadsheets.


8th- Computer Science Discoveries

The course takes a wide lens on computer science by covering topics such as programming, physical computing, HTML/CSS, and data. The course inspires students as they build their own websites, apps, games, and physical computing devices.

6th Grade: Design and Modeling

Work as a team to solve design challenges, learn to create prototypes using 3D modeling software inventor, print your design on our 3D printer to test your design prototype against provided constraints/requirements. 


7th Grade: Magic of Electrons & Science of Technology

Magic of Electrons you will get an introduction to basic electricity; where it comes from, why it works and how it is produced and transmitted. Through hands-on projects, students explore the science of electricity, the behavior and parts of atoms, circuit design, and sensing devices Science of Technology explores how science has affected technology throughout history. Students learn about applied physics, applied chemistry, chemical engineering and nanotechnology through exploratory activities and projects.


8th Grade: Automation and Robotics

Students learn about the history and impact of automation and robotics as they explore mechanical systems, energy transfer, machine automation, and computer control systems. Using the VEX Robotics® platform, students apply what they know to design and program traffic lights, robotic arms, and more.




6th Grade

Students approach art history from the caves of Lascaux on through Claude Monet! We learn about all of the art elements and integrate art history into every lesson. 


Students will learn that even though they may not consider themselves an artist, that they can persevere and do their BEST!! 


7th grade

Students continue to integrate art history with every lesson but picks up in more 20th century art. 7th grade students will learn more about art and themes, rolls of art careers, and becoming a more skilled artist through the art elements. Some of the 7th graders say that learning about 3D shapes and shading has been their favorites! 


8th grade

Art becomes a little more challenging, and students learn about facial proportions and shading. They also learn big life lessons through many of the artists’ lives. Frida Kahlo, Jackson Pollock, and Keith Haring are just a few of the artists we will learn about.
